To start this chapter I wanted to share this gorgeous music video.
When we were first married we didn’t have much money. If we went on a trip it was an inexpensive driving trip or I would tag along with Jesse when he had a business trip, but that didn’t stop us from dreaming. One day, back in the summer of 1996 or ’97, as we were driving somewhere in northern Michigan, we came up with a list of things we wanted to do before we turned fifty. Things like #3 Buy a house, #28Drive across the country, and #69 See the Taj Mahal. Most of these things we still haven’t done…and we only have one year left before we turn 50. But crossing all of them off wasn’t really the point. More importantly we laid the foundation for a life of adventure together. Interestingly, one thing we didn’t even think to dream was “to be a co-producer of a Broadway musical.”
