In the spring of 2017, Jesse happened across an article in Playbill.com describing a revival production of Once on This Island headed for Broadway. Though neither of us had any theater experience other than as fans, he decided to email the lead producer, Ken Davenport, to see if there was any way that two super fans of the musical could get involved. To Jesse’s surprise, Ken emailed back.
This new production was going to be different than anything that had ever been on stage with water, fire, sand, and live animals. The set designer, Dane Laffrey, was creating an actual island inside the Circle in the Square theater.
